pastry, gouffre and final swing

14 08 2015

1. A rain-soaked morning made better by a twisty pastry filled with chocolate chips and creme pat.

2. The rain stops by the time we reach the gouffre at Huelgoat (not gaufre as Mat learned with much hilarity a few weeks ago when he offered Louise a gouffre, thinking it was a waffle not a sink hole!) Isla and Doris take turns to wash their hands and make a wish in the ‘fairy pond.’

3. A sneak peak at the gite owners week old chicks, a final bounce on the trampoline and a swing on the swing. As Mat and I are packing up the car we can hear Isla singing to herself as she swings away.
