1. Isla wants her hair in a top knot for pre school and it does make her look very different.
2. To John Lewis to use up our coffee and cake voucher before the end of the month.
3. We can’t find a trolley with a child seat and Kirsty’s kicking off about it so I am very appreciative when a kind member of staff goes in search of one for me.

2. After Jo’s taxi arrives, we take the bikes out, have a pint at the Beacon and then a kind man gives me a push after we come to a halt on the way home.

1. Down to Eastbourne after lunch in the garden. After circling around for a while we spy a man leaving his seafront parking space and he gives us his all day ticket to boot.
2. A sit on the beach followed by an ice cream.
3. They’re showing Glastonbury on the big screen near the RNLI so we sit and watch for a while.

2. I have to get all three girls to bed on my own before the babysitter arrives and I manage it with minutes to spare.
3. Girls’ drinks down at Jazz in the Pantiles. Mat joins us later and it’s lovely to be out, chatting and having a pint in the evening sun.
1. The sight of Bodiam castle on arrival always takes your breath away.
2. The Bodiam Ducks are very persistent and are desperate to get at our picnic. We have much fun shooing them away.
3. My first book group in a while and it’s lovely to get out, drink a glass of wine and chat about books and other things.
1. The lesson today is on Tunbridge a wells and I feel a real sense of pride as I show Josephine around the place.
2. The sale’s on at Cath Kidston so I buy something for Doris’s birthday. The ladies in there are so lovely they gift wrap it beautifully for no charge.
3. While Jo is doing her shopping quiz Kirsty and I visit the soft play in the shopping centre and I have some good chats with fellow Mums.
1. The pre school class are so excited there is a real French girl to listen to them and do their best to impress her with their best French.
2. There is a strong smell of roses on the walk to school, despite the drizzle.
3. Returning home and walking into a beautifully clean house.
1. Brummie tea tastes better than at home. Must be the soft water.
2. A Fathers’ Day swing at Scotney Castle.
3. Macarons fresh from Paris thanks to Josephine, our student for the week.
