Pampering, picnic and amazing moon

30 06 2015

1. My lovely friend Kate looks after Kirsty while I have a facial and massage.

2. A post pre school picnic in the park.

3. After Pilates there is an amazing moon in the sky, although the picture doesn’t do it justice.

top knot, cake and trolley finder

29 06 2015

1. Isla wants her hair in a top knot for pre school and it does make her look very different.

2. To John Lewis to use up our coffee and cake voucher before the end of the month.

3. We can’t find a trolley with a child seat and Kirsty’s kicking off about it so I am very appreciative when a kind member of staff goes in search of one for me.

butty, Beacon and curry

28 06 2015

1. A cup of tea and a bacon butty breakfast.

2. After Jo’s taxi arrives, we take the bikes out, have a pint at the Beacon and then a kind man gives me a push after we come to a halt on the way home.

3.  Curry together, including some random prawn toasts to start.

ticket gift, beach and big screen

27 06 2015

1. Down to Eastbourne after lunch in the garden. After circling around for a while we spy a man leaving his seafront parking space and he gives us his all day ticket to boot.

2. A sit on the beach followed by an ice cream.

3. They’re showing Glastonbury on the big screen near the RNLI so we sit and watch for a while.

perky, bargain fish and pizza

26 06 2015

1. Perky coffee and tea chat with the lovely proprietor of Perk and Pearl.

2. A whole smoked mackerel from Sankey’s fish shop for a bargain £3.50

3. Friday night pizza

falafel, all down and jazz

25 06 2015

1. Falafel for lunch.

2. I have to get all three girls to bed on my own before the babysitter arrives and I manage it with minutes to spare.

3. Girls’ drinks down at Jazz in the Pantiles. Mat joins us later and it’s lovely to be out, chatting and having a pint in the evening sun.

sight, ducks and books

24 06 2015

1. The sight of Bodiam castle on arrival always takes your breath away.

2. The Bodiam Ducks are very persistent and are desperate to get at our picnic. We have much fun shooing them away.

3. My first book group in a while and it’s lovely to get out, drink a glass of wine and chat about books and other things.
